I was so disappointed to be sick on the day our musher came to visit.  I saw pictures of Dory and Fiona.  They were really cute.  The booties were adorable.  I adored all of the pictures.  I especially loved the way Dory stuck her tongue out.  Fiona looked like she was really happy.  The dog sled looked amazing.  I tried to count the dog’s teeth, but it was too hard to do.

Our class was wild over our two week literacy unit surrounding the Iditarod Sled Dog Race!  We challenged our favorite musher by counting each page we read during the race as a mile on our giant map of Alaska.  We devoured all kinds of fiction and nonfiction mushing books. We discovered more about nonfiction graphic sources, and we ended every day dancing to “I Did, I Did, I Did the Iditarod Trail.”

I’m going to tell you how to make a fun game.  You need a round magnet, then a flat magnet and a small metal ball.  First, take two magnets and the metal ball.  Second, take one magnet and put the ball on it.  Third, take the other magnet and put it over the other magnet.

*Tore open presents as my family watched me.

*Begged my mom to let me stay up late.

Our engineering challenge was to design a bird feeder that would attract a certain type of bird.

My problem statement:

I want cardinals to come to my yard.  I need a bird feeder with seeds and pegs for my bird to stand on.  I will make my bird feeder safe from cats by putting it up high.

Snow is amazing because you can make snowmen and snow horses and snow dragons and snow bunnies.  When Christmas comes, there are presents, and your stockings are full of toys and candy, and you can look out the window and there are snowflakes falling from the sky.  You can go outside and play in the snow and have a snowball fight.  Then you go inside, and there is hot cocoa waiting at the table.  Snow!
